The general public's impression of public utility workers is most often
created in a traffic jam on the city streets. Vehicles are merging
to bypass cones, a backhoe, a couple of white trucks full of pipe and tools,
and two or three men watching water bubbling up out of the street.
These photographs
give glimpses of the non-public side of a public utility. They show
some of the nasty, noisy, tedious jobs that public utility personnel carry
out. The also record the training sessions, housekeeping and conferences
that ar a necessary part of a public utility.
The
entire exhibit is made up of fourteen photographs. Only a small selection
is shown here.
